about

Last summer, my best friend and I wanted to get into songwriting but we had no idea where to start. We thought that writing a silly song would ease us into the process, so Shelly was born. Shelly (You Little Slut) is written in the perspective of Otto the Otter concerning his cruel encounters with Shelly the Crab.
Actually, Andres just thought that the Sally in the "Sally Sells Sea Shells by the Sea Shore" tongue twister was a Shelly and then we wrote a song about it.

lyrics

I was sitting by the dock, was sitting on a rock,
Got bit by a crab, but it felt like a croc.
Then I saw you...

You looked like a dream, smelt like sunscreen,
Took something of mine, and put it in your jeans.
Then I knew...

Shelly, Shelly, you little slut,
Stole my shells, and ran back in your tiki hut.
Shelly, Shelly, by the seashore,
Stole my shells, but they'll never be yours.

You kicked sand in my face, it had a bad taste,
Couldn't see where you went, was blinded by the rays.
Then you left...

Will you return? I screamed and you heard,
You walk towards me, my luck's about to turn.
Then I said...

Shelly, Shelly, you little slut,
Stole my shells, and ran back in your tiki hut.
Shelly, Shelly, by the seashore,
Stole my shells, but they'll never be yours.

Shelly, you're a shell stealer.
Shelly, you're a love killer.
Shelly, you're a shell stealer.
Shelly, you're a love killer.

Shelly, Shelly, you little slut,
Stole my shells, and ran back in your tiki hut.
Shelly, Shelly, by the seashore,
Stole my shells, but they'll never be yours.

Shelly, Shelly, you little slut,
Stole my heart, was that not enough?
